The Reverend Father John Berry

The Reverend Father John Berry was ordained to the Sacred Order of Priests by the Right Reverend David Bena, Suffragan Bishop of CANA (the Convocation of Anglicans in North America), on the Fifth Sunday of Easter 2008.  Father Berry serves under the jurisdiction of Bishop Frank Lyons of the Anglican Church of Bolivia, a constituent member of the worldwide Anglican Communion.
A graduate of Nashotah House Theological Seminary -- an Anglo-Catholic seminary of the Episcopal Church located in Nashotah, Wisconsin -- Father Berry is currently a bi-vocational priest with secular employment in the mortgage industry.  He resides in Newport News, Virginia, and when not shuttling between there and St. Luke’s, spends much of his time traveling throughout the Southeast on business.  Father Berry’s hobbies are fishing, boating, flying, running and spending time with his two dogs, Jack and Gracie.
He is also a licensed commercial multi-engine instrument rated pilot and former airshow pilot.
Father Berry’s love for the church developed at an early age and he served as an acolyte in his hometown of Columbus, Georgia, beginning at age eight.  Always active in the church, he has previously served as a vestry member, Senior Warden, Junior Warden, acolyte director and leader in various outreach ministries.  He feels blessed to be serving as Priest at St. Luke’s Anglican Church in the Anglo-Catholic tradition.
